Kevin Scott Collier

Kevin Scott Collier has been illustrating many great things for "KICKS Club". He is currently working on the KICKS Club book, "Flying High with Elmer" featuring Elmer and his friends to be released the first of 2009. Kevin has been kind enough to illustrate all of Elmer's new coloring pages so we can give your children coloring fun with "KICKS Club" coloring pages. Kevin will also be appearing on a new KICKS TV production called "Drawing for KICKS" to be released soon. Jarod, Kevin's son, and other "KICKS Club" members from their hometown of Grand Haven, Michigan will also be appearing in "Drawing for KICKS".

Kevin is a youth fiction author and children's book illustrator who began his career in 2004. Collier’s first novel, barthpenn@heaven.org (Tweener Press, November) One reviewer claimed, "Heaven has gone high-tech." Critics have praised the book, one calling it “a masterpiece of communication.” It received the Craig's Choice Award for best children's fiction book in 2005.

Collier’s second book, published in 2005, Topsy Turvy Land, garnered him great acclaim as an illustrator. Illustrated in three days for writer Donna J. Shepherd, Collier's first picture book has received high praise. The December 6, 2006 issue of World Magazine named Topsy Turvy Land (Hidden Picture Books, June), "One of the top 50 children’s picture books of all time."

Kevin is the illustrator of "Monty the Traveling Cat" which won first place in the children's book division of the New York Book Festival.

Kevin also illustrates a book based on The Old Schoolhouse Magazine's reading mascot, Splish the Frog.

Collier has either written or illustrated over 80 children's books, working for over a dozen different publishers.

Kevin and his wife Kristen have released the book they co-authored, "The Jumbo Shrimp of Dire Straits" and a chapter book titled, "Natalie's Ark". A book for tweens about Natalie Nash, a 13-years-old girl who pledged to herself she would fear no more. When a levy broke, and she was swept away in a flood of biblical proportions...  Natalie found she was not alone. Joined by furry and feathered companions who assume the art of speech in a small ancient rowboat, Natalie rediscovers the power of faith on her journey home. They will also be releasing the sequel to her 2007 book release "Joy the Jellyfish" in 2009.
